Premium EquipmentMatched to Your System

We are not tied to one manufacturer. What each part of a system does and where it goes, then the brands we fit and why.

The equipment we installand why we chose it

A complete system is four pieces of equipment doing four different jobs. Here is each one, what it does, and the brands we fit. We are not tied to a manufacturer: what you will never get from us is a brand chosen because it was in the van.

Solar panels

The generating part, and the one that has to survive thirty years of Canterbury weather without anyone touching it. Efficiency matters most when roof space is limited.

LONGi full-black solar panels installed on a roof
LONGi Our standard panel

Back-contact cells, which move the electrical contacts to the rear so nothing shades the front of the panel. Full-black, among the highest efficiencies available, and covered by a 30-year product and performance warranty: a manufacturer betting on its own product.

AE Solar Second option

Our alternative where it is the better fit for a project: budget, availability or a particular system design. Same design, install and sign-off standards either way, and we will always say which panel we are quoting.

Compare the two

Inverters

The brain. It converts DC to AC, decides what goes to the house versus the grid, and reports the lot to your phone. It also sets what the system can grow into later.

An inverter installed on a garage wall
SolaX Hybrid & string

A strong all-rounder on New Zealand homes, with a hybrid range that is battery-ready from the start and its own matched battery. Well supported locally, which matters years down the track when you need firmware or a part.

A commercial building with a ground-mounted solar array
Sungrow Residential to commercial

One of the largest inverter manufacturers in the world, with a range that runs from a single-phase house up to a three-phase commercial site. Where a job needs scale and a long service life, this is usually the shortlist.

Fronius Austrian-built

The premium end. Austrian-engineered, with a long-standing reputation for durability and serviceability rather than for being the cheapest option on a quote. Chosen when a client wants the inverter to be the last thing they think about.

An all-in-one energy storage unit mounted outdoors
Sigenergy All-in-one

Inverter, battery and EV charging designed as one stack rather than three products bolted together. Fewer boxes on the wall, one app, and a straightforward upgrade path if you add storage or a car later.

Battery storage

What decides whether your solar is worth much after 4pm. Without it, daytime surplus is exported cheaply and bought back at dinner time at the retail rate.

A wall-mounted home battery
Tesla Powerwall Certified installer

The best-known home battery, and the one most people ask for by name. We are a Tesla Powerwall Certified Installer, which means Tesla has trained and signed us off to design, install and commission it, not just to resell it.

An energy storage system installed beside a switchboard
Sigenergy Modular, stackable

Stacks in modules, so you can start with the capacity you need and add to it rather than replacing the unit. Pairs with the matching inverter for one integrated system and a single app.

SolaX Matched to the inverter

The natural pairing where the inverter is already SolaX: one manufacturer end to end, one warranty conversation, and no doubt about whether the two halves will talk to each other.

A rural ground-mounted solar array
PylonTech Off-grid & rural

Widely used, well proven and highly configurable, which is why it turns up on off-grid and rural jobs where the capacity has to be built to the property rather than picked off a shelf.

EV chargers

The biggest single load most homes ever add, and the one that pairs best with solar. A smart charger can be set to draw only from surplus generation.

An electric vehicle charging at home
Home chargers Single-phase, 7kW class

A wall-mounted charger on its own certified circuit, sized to your switchboard's spare capacity. Where you already have solar, a smart charger can be set to pull from surplus generation rather than from the grid.

A commercial site with solar generation
Workplace & fleet Three-phase, multi-bay

Three-phase chargers and multi-bay installations for staff parking and fleet yards, including load management so a row of chargers does not trip the site's incoming supply. Commercial solar and fleet charging are a natural pair: the cars are parked there all day.

Not sure which of these suits your place?

Ask Us What Fits
Our approach

Chosen for your site, not for our margin

Being independent of any single manufacturer is the point. A north-facing Christchurch roof with a heat pump and an EV needs a different system to a shaded Rangiora bungalow or a Selwyn dairy shed.

Long warranties, honoured

We select gear with warranties worth having, and we handle the claim if something fails inside its coverage period.

Serviceable for the long haul

Brands with real support in New Zealand, so parts and firmware are still available years after install.

One app, one system

Panels, inverter, battery and EV charger specified to work together, so you monitor the whole thing in one place.
